HEAD FORM

No pressure. No driveway guesswork. A local Orlando inspector will call you back.

What roof repair actually covers

Roof repair services we handle

Flashing and penetration repairChimneys, pipe boots, skylights, vents, satellite mounts, and wall transitions. These are the leak points homeowners miss from the driveway.
Shingle replacement and sealingMissing shingles, lifted tabs, cracked shingles, exposed nails, granule loss, and wind-damaged sections repaired with matching materials where available.
Tile repair and underlayment diagnosisBroken tile can be cosmetic. Failed underlayment is not. We determine whether a targeted repair will hold or whether the system is past repair.
Metal and flat roof repairLoose fasteners, panel damage, seam issues, punctures, ponding-water areas, TPO seams, modified bitumen details, and low-slope flashing failures.
Emergency tarping and temporary protectionIf the roof is exposed after storm damage, temporary protection comes first. Permanent repair follows after the damage is documented and scoped.
Repair vs. replacement recommendationYou get a written explanation of whether repair makes sense, what it costs, and when replacement is the more honest long-term answer.

How roof repair works

Inspect the actual source

We do not guess from the driveway. The inspector checks the roof, the likely leak path, and the surrounding materials before pricing anything.

Document the damage

You receive photos and a clear explanation of the issue: storm damage, age-related wear, installation failure, flashing failure, or something else.

Quote repair or replacement honestly

If repair makes sense, we price the repair. If the repair would be a bandage on a failing system, we explain why replacement is the better answer.

Complete and close out

Repair work is completed cleanly, documented, and reviewed. If insurance or future inspection documentation is needed, you already have the photos.

Roof repair vs. roof replacement

SituationRepair usually makes sense when...Replacement should be considered when...
Roof leak The leak is isolated to one penetration, flashing detail, or small section. There are multiple leaks or widespread underlayment failure.
Storm damage Damage affects a limited area and matching materials are available. Wind or hail damage is widespread across multiple slopes.
Shingle condition Shingles are otherwise healthy and the problem is localized. Granule loss, curling, cracking, or lifting appears across the roof.
Tile roof A few tiles are cracked and underlayment below is still intact. The waterproofing layer below the tiles has reached end of life.
Insurance pressure A documented repair satisfies the carrier or inspection requirement. The carrier is focused on roof age, widespread condition, or code issues.
Long-term value Repair extends useful life without wasting money. Repair cost becomes a down payment on a roof that still needs replacing soon.

It's pretty rare that i give 5 stars for ANYTHING. In this case all went as planned, expected, and most importantly, as promised! Brandon handled everything as promised, the crew was outstanding. Off came the roof, and repairs day one. Day 2 saw a new roof and clean up BOTH days was exceptional. Seriously, exceptional.

Side note: Working with Geico/HomeSite Ins. such a breeze. I have regained faith in the system.

GOOD JOB TEAM!

To be honest, I went into the process of replacing my roof with the expectation that something was going to go wrong because that’s how it always seems to go. Complete opposite with JA Edwards. First contact I had was with Alex. He stayed with us through the whole process - selection, estimates, permitting, etc. He promised the property would stay clean and I doubted it, but every night the property was spotless. Communication was consistent and prompt. Quality of products was superior to others we looked at and the workmanship was excellent. Would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking for fair and honest pricing, quality product and professional workmanship.

Miguel Silva was wonderful to work with. The price was fair, and he took the time to educate and guide me from start to finish of my reroof project. His communication was excellent, and I always felt taken care of. The roofers, especially Abel, were outstanding. They kept my property clean the entire time, performed a magnet sweep, and even cleaned my neighbor’s yard. I am very happy with everything and would gladly recommend Miguel and his team.

Determining who to trust with a major house repair is always a stressful process and can quicky turn into a nightmare scenario if you make the wrong choice.

We are so happy that we made the decision to trust our roof replacement to Joel Vazquez and JA Edwards of America. From the very first consultation to the final clean-up, the entire process was seamless. Joel's communication skills are top-tier; he kept us informed every step of the way and was always available to answer our questions.

Joel handled everything related to our insurance company and made sure they delivered on our coverage.

It is so hard to find contractors who actually do what they say they’re going to do, but Joel exceeded every expectation we had. His attention to detail was evident throughout- the job was perfect, the site was left clean, and our new roof and home look amazing.

If you want a stress-free experience and a beautiful new roof, Joel is first person you should call.

Thank you Joel and JA Edwards!

Would highly recommend JA Edwards if you need a roof inspection. Christian Sandberg came and inspected my roof after I had a leak in my kitchen and helped me navigate through the insurance process. All that was owed to insurance was my wind/hail deductible!

I was skeptical about roofing companies until I met Christian Sandberg. He was honest and updated me throughout the process. Our roof was paid for through insurance because of our extensive wind damage. Thank you to JA Edward’s of America and our project manger!

I want to specifically call out Seth Wooten, our Project Manager, who helped us with every step of the process—from working with our insurance company to getting the job done and everything in between. Seth is super caring and a phenomenal communicator; he made the whole experience stress-free.

A special thank you to the crew for their quality work. They made our roof look beautiful and secure, and they finished it all in just one day. If you are looking for a roofing company, look no further than JAEA!

JA Edwards did a great job in my re-roofing. They removed the old roof and prepped for the new roof in day 1 and completed the new roof in day 2. It’s messy work and I was really happy with the way the crew cleaned up around the house after each day. The new roof looks great and I couldn’t be more pleased.

I was referred to JA Edwards by my insurance adjuster. At first I was leery of them because I’ve had bad experience with contractors in the past. Brandon answered all of my questions, had everything my insurance company needed, and to my great surprise, did EVERYTHING he said he would do! Installation of my roof was on schedule and took 2 days to completed, plus another day (4 hours) to install my new gutters. We scheduled the installation in September and my new roof was on by mid-October. Maybe I just got lucky but I am truly impressed with the way this company handles business. I’m posting photos to show the process and how well the cleanup crew did…I did not find but ONE nail leftover! I’ve been on many job sites with roofers who don’t give a damn about the cleanup (or the install for that matter!) and I can tell you without a doubt, JA Edwards is lucky to have Brandon and the entire rest of the crew that did my house. The lead supervisor, Toufy (I’m probably spelling his name wrong!) was so kind and listened to every question I had on the day of install. They even let me know that some material they received was bent from the supplier and they replaced it with material (drip edge) that was 100% perfect. I didn’t even notice until Toufy pointed it out. Such attention to detail with everyone in the whole crew!!! I really loved that everyone I spoke to was also on the same page, unlike many other contractors who sub work out and have no idea what’s happening. Brandon answered his phone every time I reached out and I never had to wait for answers to my questions! I’m beyond blessed to have a beautiful new roof on my humble house and I highly recommend this company.

Tyler was awesome. The best contractor I have ever worked with, and I was down in hurricane Aundrew when it hit Miami Florida, where I totally lost my home when your company hired this young man it was one of the best things you have done. I watched him repair six roofs in my neighborhood and three of them was personal friends all well please with him one Neighbor did not go with him and have said to me several times I wish I had gone with him. Tyler works well with his crew. Make sure they have plenty of drinks and sometimes go and get lunch for them. I have never seen that before. He also picks up and clean up behind them making sure all nails and trash is cleared up before he leaves the site. I’ve watched this young man go up and down on the roof like he was a crew member And not the contractor. I just found out that he has about four more roots added in this neighborhood. Congratulations Tyler.

Roof repair questions, answered

Roof repair cost in Orlando depends on the source of the problem, roof material, access, and whether damage is isolated or widespread. A pipe boot or small shingle repair is very different from a valley repair, tile underlayment issue, or flat roof seam failure. JA Edwards starts with a free inspection and gives a written repair price before any work is approved.

Yes, when the leak is isolated and the rest of the system is still healthy. Many Orlando leaks come from pipe boots, flashing, valleys, skylights, vents, lifted shingles, or punctures rather than total roof failure. If the inspection shows the roof is failing across multiple slopes, replacement may be the more honest recommendation.

Yes. We inspect and document wind, hail, and debris damage on shingle, tile, metal, and flat roofs. If the damage appears storm-related, we explain what documentation is useful for an insurance claim and what repair or replacement path is realistic.

Yes, when temporary protection is needed after storm damage, a fallen limb, or a leak that exposes the home. Tarping protects the structure while the permanent repair is inspected, documented, and scheduled. It is not a substitute for the actual roof repair, because plastic and hope are not roofing systems.

Yes. We repair cracked or slipped tiles, valley issues, flashing problems, and leak areas on tile roofs. The key is determining whether the visible tile is the problem or whether the underlayment below has failed. Replacing a few tiles over failed waterproofing does not solve the leak.

Insurance may cover roof repair when the damage comes from a covered event such as wind or hail. Normal age, wear, deferred maintenance, and long-term deterioration are usually treated differently. We document the roof condition with photos so you understand what appears storm-related and what appears age-related before deciding on next steps.

Availability depends on weather and current storm volume, but Orlando homeowners can usually schedule quickly through the form or by calling (407) 677-7663. Active leaks and storm openings are prioritized because the longer water gets inside, the more expensive this little comedy of moisture becomes.

Repair becomes hard to justify when the roof has multiple leaks, widespread granule loss, curling shingles, failed underlayment, repeated patch history, or storm damage across several slopes. It also becomes questionable when the repair cost approaches a meaningful portion of replacement cost. We explain that line clearly after inspection.

Fix the roof problem
before it becomes a ceiling problem.

Free inspection, photo documentation, and a real repair recommendation. If repair is enough, we say so. If it is not, we explain why.

Why roof repair matters in Orlando

Roof repair in Orlando
starts with finding the actual source

Roof repair in Orlando is rarely as simple as patching the visible spot. Water enters at one point, travels along underlayment, decking, rafters, or insulation, and shows up somewhere else entirely, because apparently water also enjoys creating paperwork. That is why JA Edwards starts every repair with an inspection and photo documentation instead of guessing from the driveway.

The most common roof repairs we see around Orlando involve failed pipe boots, flashing separation, valley issues, lifted shingles, cracked tile, punctured flat roof membrane, loose metal roof details, clogged drainage, and storm damage from wind or hail. Some are quick repairs. Some are warning signs that the roof system is reaching the end of its service life. The difference matters because throwing money at repeated patches is not maintenance, it is a slow subscription to water damage.

JA Edwards of America repairs shingle, tile, metal, and flat roofs from our Orlando office at 220 Weber St. We are a licensed roofing contractor and general contractor, hold GAF Master Elite status, and document repair findings in a format homeowners can use for insurance, real estate, or future roof planning. If the right answer is repair, we price the repair. If the right answer is roof replacement in Orlando, we explain why before you spend money on another patch.

For roof leaks, storm damage, missing shingles, tile repairs, metal roof issues, or flat roof repairs, book online or call (407) 677-7663. The inspection is free, the report is yours, and the recommendation will be written clearly enough that nobody needs to decode contractor poetry.
